Yes indeed. I take it back. There is a very good Google Tasks app for iPhone namely Pocket Lists.
It does everything Google Tasks does and then adds more features yet manages to keep the UI simple and easy to use. In addition to the regular task management features it has a useful ‘Stream’ view of all your tasks which you can customise. It also lets you share tasks and lists with fellow Pocket List users via wi-fi or Bluetooth. There’s also optional syncing with ToodleDo and your iPhone Calendar app.
Check out their cute developer roadmap which promises cloud, social, iPad, Android, web and Mac along the very scenic route.
